Alois Trancy (Jim Macken) Cosplay -Kuroshitsuji II by Amabells Alois Trancy (Jim Macken) Cosplay -Kuroshitsuji II by Amabells
Me as Alois Trancy from the anime Kuroshitsuji II in the cosplay contest on Närcon X in 2011. Cosplay made entirely by me. Wig is from eBay.

All the material is satin, even the butterflies and the spider web. No paint used!

The butterflies I made by cutting out the pieces in the different colors and then pressed them on a soft sticky fabric (dunno the name in English for that). Then I embroidered the edges with the machine. The web is made with satin ribbons glued to the red fabric, and then I glued the butterflies on too.

The rest is made with patterns that I made myself.

This cosplay killed my previous sewing machine. Satin is a devilish material. T_T

Is it hard to walk around barefoot and wearing such a loose cosplay? I have been contemplating making Jim's outfit, but it makes me nervous!
You look so great in it!!!

To walk around barefoot wasn't a problem and I also had some ballerina satin shoes to it if I had to walk outside the con area or if I was unsure of glass on the ground. But the cosplay is really loose and yes, it is difficult to wear it but also really comfortable. It is difficult because satin is such a volatile fabric it easily gets out of place and just flies around everywhere.

Once a truck passed by when I was next to a road. The whole thing opened and flashed EVERYTHING from the wind after the truck! LMAO! It was so embarrassing. xDDD So if you are making it with satin make sure that the thing is secured and covering you constantly.

Also if you ever make the cosplay, make sure to send me a link to the picture! :D And lots of good luck wishes on that project!
